Steve Marsh
Steve wanted a duplicate of his dad's truck, I started with a yellow Kenworth daycab, added the chrome strips on the front fenders, added the exact AZ license plate on the front bumper and the trailer, added hubcaps to all wheels, c-b antennas, shortened the stacks, added caution light to headache rack, added, rear hump rear fenders, with dot stripes and Kenworth logo on rear with mud falp, front mudflaps with Kenworth logo, added exact truck company logo's, removed the steps on the fuel tanks, removed the chrome box and fuel separeator on the frame, made drop deck a closed tandum, added dove tail, added wood and concrete pipe load with chains and binders, this is about as close to the real truck and trailer as i can get.
HERE IS WHAT STEVE SENT ME ABOUT HIS FATHERS TRUCK.
The original reason I wanted to do this project is because my father takes great pride in his truck, and gets many compliments on how clean and sharp looking his truck is. There are not any other trucks in the Phoenix that stand out like his. The canary yellow paint job is definitely unique and an eye catcher. It is not uncommon for me to spot his truck out on the freeway, even if he is far ahead of me. Many years ago I thought it would be neat for him to have plastic model and paint it the same yellow color. However, finding a Kenworth W900 was virtually impossible. Several Peterbuilts, Internationals, Volvo, but not Kenworth W900 with a just the day cab. Needless to say I never went through with it. From time to time we'd check out eBay, or craigslist to see if anyone had what were looking for. Then, by luck one day, he found your website www.codgebilt.com. We both looked at the previous trucks you did, and were amazed at the level of detail. So we absolutely had to give you a call.
